Brett Hull is a Canadian-American professional ice hockey player and general manager. Brett has 1391 career points. He is regarded as one of the greatest players in NHL history.

Brett is the son of Joanne and professional ice hockey player Bobby Hull. Bobby and Brett are the only father-and-son tandem to achieve the marks of more than 50 goals in an NHL season and more than 600 NHL goals.

His uncle, Dennis Hull, is also a professional ice hockey player. Among his siblings is professional Canadian football player Bart Hull.

Brett is married to Darcie. He has three children with his former wife Alison, including Jude, who is also a hockey player.

Brett’s paternal grandfather was Robert Edward Hull (the son of John Henry Hull and Ada Hull Sturman). Robert was born in Ontario, Canada, to English-born parents.

Brett’s paternal grandmother was Lena Margurite Cook (the daughter of George Delbert Cook and Laura Louise Toppings).

Brett’s maternal grandfather was Donald Stoddard McKay (the son of Neil Angus McKay and Lucille Stoddard). Donald was born in Utah.

Brett’s maternal grandmother was Shirley Phyllis Abbott (the daughter of Jack Abromovitz, later Jack L. Abbott, and of Evelyn E. Johnstone). Shirley was born in California. Jack was born in Illinois, to Russian Jewish parents. Evelyn’s mother was Canadian.
