Ana Cruz Kayne is an American actress. She is known for her roles in the films Depraved, Anya, Little Women (2019), Jerry & Marge Go Large, and Barbie (2023), and on the shows Partner Track and Painkiller.
She is the daughter of Maria and Richard Kayne. Her brother is stand-up comedian Michael Cruz Kayne, who is a writer for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. A picture of Ana with her mother can be seen here.
She has stated:
I’m such a mixture of many things. I feel like there is no blueprint for people like me. I’m just Jewish-Asian and myself… I would say my Jewish identity and background is still in process. I’m Jewish on my father’s side. Legend has it that my mother took the bath to appease my grandmother, whose name is Shirley Mitzi Steinberg… She’s 99 and she’s never going to die… we celebrated all the High Holidays and my oldest brother Michael was bar mitzvahed on Masada because he was the oldest and a boy… My mom was raised really Catholic, and my dad was raised really Jewish. And I think for [my siblings and me], they sort of presented things without sort of overtly being like, this is Jewish and this is Catholic.
