Peter Ostrum is an American actor and veterinarian. He starred as Charlie Bucket in the film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971), his only film role.

Peter’s maternal grandfather was Guy Raymond Pierpont (the son of Pliny Louis Pierpoint and Ora L Hugus) Guy was born in Cairo, Ritchie, West Virginia, and was of Colonial American origin, primarily English, German, and Scottish, with deep roots in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Peter’s maternal grandmother was Marjorie Marie Calvert (the daughter of Charles Richard Calvert and Serepta Mabel Cones). Marjorie was born in Lamont, Grant, Oklahoma, and had roots in Virginia and Pennsylvania.
