Riff Raff is the son of Anita and Ronald Simco. His mother is Jewish (of German Jewish and Russian Jewish descent). Some of her relatives were victims of the Holocaust. Riff Raff has said that he is not religious. His first name, “Horst”, is of German origin.
On his mother’s side, Riff Raff is the grandson of Bernard Isaacs (the son of Max M. Isaacs and Hannah Bernhardt) and Amy Ruth Jacobson (the daughter of Samuel Jacobson and Dorothy Gimp). Bernard was born in Wisconsin, to a father from Germany and a mother who was born in Illinois, to German-born parents.
