Ilsey is the daughter of Hope (Schwartz) and English musician Laurence Juber (born Laurence Ivor Juber). Ilsey’s parents are Jewish. Ilsey has a brother, Nico.
On her mother’s side, Ilsey is the granddaughter of television producer Sherwood Schwartz, and the niece of television producer Lloyd J. Schwartz. She is also the great-niece of writers Al Schwartz and Elroy Schwartz.
Ilsey’s paternal grandparents were Nathan S. Juber and Doreen Marcus.
Ilsey’s maternal grandfather was Sherwood Schwartz (born Sherwood Charles Schwartz, the son of Herman Schwartz and Rose). Herman and Rose were from Russia.
